Alternative title: Why does Brit have characters that are fucking weird?
When I make characters, I like to do things not everyone has done before. Strappon was an idea Emi and I made up at 3am, as an example. However, quiet a few of my characters are based off of other characters (some parodies, some just for inspiration) but eventual bastardization occurs.
AMULET is based off of Dartz from Yu-Gi-Oh! He was the first character I made a parody of. His lacky ghosts also allude to this because they're based off his biker swordsman trio.
BLAZER was, in the beginning, a parody of Dave Strider to go with Zyuz' Hoodie. After a bit, we both started changing some things, mostly hair and dressing style. Blazer eventually developed into a character of his own, but he still keeps the assholish attitude with him.
FUDOSHI was made with the mindset of a trainer. I made him a mix of two characters, Saix from Kingdom Hearts and Angeal Hewley from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core.
I have a lot of minor characters that I make for the sake of making parody characters. Here's a few so far. I tend to shove those into Tee's gang of misfits.
The more original characters, like Strappon, were made from spur-of-the-moment ideas.
FISHNET was the first character I made for the series. I wanted to make something over-the-top like Mankini, so I made him in correspondence with him. Nothing too special, I just wanted to make a shota that's a little extreme.
STRAPPON, as stated in the beginning, was made at 3 am with the notion of "what if you made a priest character with a gun named Strappon?" So he was made.
TOESOCKS, my newest addition to DCM, was made because Emi put toesocks on her hands like gloves. I had to make an offbeat character to go with it.
OVERSHIRT was originally made to be the boyfriend of Frappy's Beret. He has since transcended this use to much more. His backstory and it's gruesome nature actually have roots to a Kingdom Hearts AU Emi and I made up long ago, Ovy taking Riku's role and Tee taking his replica's. I used it mostly for character development.
And there you have it! I'm sure I put some of that information in their bios somewhere, but it's easier to compile a list about it somewhere for reference. uvu
