Another fine day in Daten City came around- everyday people getting up to their everyday Monday routine. Or, so it should have been.
"Daten City is truly sleeping on the opportunity for a fine Monday!" The newscaster spoke in her unusually enthusiastic voice, "The Sleep Epidemic that has spread across the city is only getting worse and it seems as a result, the caffeine industry is booming!"
Strappon shut off the television with a grimace, turning to the group of Angels that had gathered.
"So..." He began, "We're going to need a clue as to what could be causing this... Epidemic?"
Jacket yawned and propped his cheek on one of his hands. "Maaaaayybe when we get the energy?" He suggested in a sleepy drawl.
Strappon sighed and looked among the faces that had showed.
"Sounds like a ghost. We should do some investigating." He said, "Go out on the town and maybe find some clues as to what could be causing this problem."
He offered them a confident smile.

So that ghosts feel a little bit more fulfilling to repent, we've added mechanics that allow for proper investigations of ghosts.
Members must accumulate enough investigation points to proceed to the next phase. How many investigation points is needed per phase or how many phases there are is up to discussion.
You only roll when you are interviewing a person or searching an area.

"Hey I was watching that-" Said Shades who was sitting in an adjacent seat from everybody else. He sighed as the TV was turned off, sitting himself up straight. He listened to the ensuing conversation, trying to formulate a plan for his own investigation. There's no use in trying to bring any fancy equipment, he doubted that whatever was causing this, wasn't hiding in some dank, old building. "I'll ask around in the areas I usually frequent if they've seen anything funky or out of the ordinary. If there's anyone manning them, that is. I'll also be asking my dad if him and his friends have seen something." He got up, looking back at those who showed, "If anybody wants to tag along, feel free. I'm going to the downtown areas and port." Dropping by downtown Daten, Shades made some stops at shops he frequents. Most being cafes, bakeries, and a few outlet stores of various wares. As expected, stores that had no relation to caffeine were closed for the day. His best bet was to investigate a cafe. Entering, he greeted whoever was working the front. "Hey, sort of an usual question, but weirder things are happening as we all know. Have you spotted anyone funny-looking or spooky? Or have seen something weird in general?"

"Understood." Gloves said to Strappon, smiling back to him. "We'll try our investigation at Daten Mall. Hopefully, one of the workers could help us in the situation of finding the ghost. Right, Sapphire?" He asks her. As he turns his head at Sapphire, she looks like a tired puppy with light dark circles under her eye bags.
"Yeah," Sapphire yawn a little as she speaks to Strappon, "There's bound to be info from one of the workers within Daten Mall, so we'll do ower *yawn* very best."
Gloves look at Sapphire with a raised eyebrow, "Are you sure you're ready? I mean, you don't have to go if you-"
"No no no, I'm good." Sapphire interrupts Gloves, giving him a thump up. "Even though I'm a little tired, doesn't mean I can't ask them a question or two."
"Okay..." Gloves said. "I'll drive us there on my Kawasaki motorcycle. Flying to the mall could leave us into trouble if the ghost spotted us." He thought of this one step ahead and playing normal is the best option for now. "For now, let's play safe, alright?"
With a nod from Sapphire in an agreement of playing safe, they headed off to Daten Mall.
As both of them drove down to Daten Mall, Gloves park his motorcycle, shield the wheels that Gloves made, and enters Daten Mall. Once entered, few of the workers look like they're ready to take a loooong nap, especially the customers themselves. Nope, not a good sign for either of them.
"This ain't looking good." Gloves said, little worried about the situation in hand. "Alright," He turns his head at Sapphire. "I'll go ask one of the cashier's workers if they saw anything and you find someone that knows what's going on here."
With a tired yawn from her again, Sapphire nods to Gloves and both are now separated from each other.
Splitting up, Gloves walk over to the cashier lady as he waved his right hand to her to get her attention. "Hello, Madam. I'm sorry to interrupt you of your work, but may I ask you a question? There's something weird happening in this city and do you see anything or anyone that looks strange to you?" He asks her.
Meanwhile, Sapphire walks a little far from where Gloves is and as she turns her head at aisle 5 from her left shoulder, she saw a stocker man refilling the shelves with Special K Cereals. With a light smile on her tired face, she walks over to him and waves to him to get his attention. "Hello, Goodsir. Sorry for bothering you, but may I ask you a question? I know that we're all tired on a Monday, but have you seen *yawn *, pardon me, anything weird that a person wearing or anything weird that you've spotted?" She asks him.

Jacket nodded and made a very loud yawn before pattering off in some direction. Strappon frowned as he watched him just drop onto the carpet, asleep.
"Good Lord." He said simply, "Well, I'm sure someone will make sure he doesn't die there. I'll gather a few people to meet at the park. Maybe we can ask people there if they've seen anything... If there's people there."
Strappon headed to the park and began looking for evidence of Ghosts. Ghosts liked to show themselves in places there were lots of people, right?"
Off on the other side of the park, Snakebites sat tuning his guitar. It was a lovely day to play some guitar, but people seemed to quite literally be sleeping on this opportunity. "Are there just a lot of hobos in this park, or is there something weird going on here...?" He asked himself, brow furrowed.

The barista Shades had questioned honestly looked dead on her feet. She blinked a few times to register he was there, then yawned. "... No, not rea l l y... I sees a lot of strange people come in here for their 'caFFINE FIX' but since that new energy drink came out..." She tapered off, nodding a bit before shaking herself awake again. "Anyway, what can I get you...?"
Meanwhile in another part of town in Daten Mall, the cashier Gloves had approached looked more bored than tired. "No, I haven't seen anything weird other than random people asking me what's weird. You're weird." She snorted.
The guy who was putting away the cereal yawned back at Sapphire, almost like a weird sort of slothlike communication. "A-ahhh... Nothing... weird about people other than customers randomly falling asleep in... the store." He drawled, putting another box away, "Just people buying these energy drinks to keep awake. Almost seems... Related." He popped open a can, holding a finger up to tell her 'give me a minute,' and chugged it. He burped, shook his head, and continued working. |

"I...get that a lot." Gloves reply, letting out a light sign. It's true that being dead is weird and born with grey hair's even weirder, but that doesn't stop him from helping others from weird situations. Especially this weird situation. "Still," He bows lightly to her, "thank you for the answer, Ma'am." As he said that, he went off to find another citizen within Daten Mall to find any info that leads to the cause of this sleepiness.
Walking further from the mall and going around people that were sleeping on the floor, he saw a Pet Store on his right side that was not far from him. "Hmm...Maybe one of the workers within this department knows what's going on?" He said to himself. "Come to think of it," He wraps his chin with his right palm, thinking to himself. " If the citizen caught the sleepiness, does this sleepiness effect animals as well?" With a question that's now stuck to his head, he went on in to find a worker and the first person he spotted was a pet caretaker man feeding goldfishes. He approached him from behind and lightly poke his back to get his attention. "Hello, Good Sir. Sorry to interrupt you from working, but do you know anything that's happening to the citizens in Daten City from being sleepy. Following note," He turns his head at the tank of goldfishes, "Is any animal here caught the sleepy effect as well?" He question him?
"Energy drinks you say?" Sapphire said. She bends down to where the guy places his drink and take a good look at it. "Huh." She never saw this type of energy drink before and if these drinks keep people awake, then it must be that good. She looks back at the stocker man, letting out a little yawn as she stands. "By any chance, do you know the brand owner that created this type of energy drinks and to find more of them?" She asks him.
