Status Effects Some spells/abilities cause status effects or buffs for a character. These can help or harm a character depending on what they are used for.
Negative Status: Poison: Deals 1d5 damage, then 1d6, etc. Damage caps at 1d20. Must be squelched by a spell. Burn: Deals 3 damage every turn Drench: Lessens Pyromancy 1d5 points for 3 turns. Frozen: Skip turns. Every turn, roll 1d20; Starting TN to unfreeze is 15, then lowers -2 each turn. Sluggish: Thera-exclusive; Lowers atk of target (-1d8) Bruised: Lowers def stat; Adds +1d8 damage to afflicted target Stunned: Skip one turn Blind: -1d5 to Initiative every turn for 2 turns. Deafened: You cannot gain any other status ailments or status effects for 1d4 turns.
Buff Status: Add Effect: + Attribute to weapon; + additional die (max 1) Regen: Gain 1d5 HP per turn Impervious: Unable to take HP damage for 1d4 turns. Armor: -[1d8] attack rolls targeting at target/self Jacked: +[1d10] ATK for target/self Amplified: Effect breaks through Deafened status
Different spells and abilities cause different status effects. Status effects can be stacked over each other.
