A lot of us do our own writing outside of roleplaying, whether that be short stories, poetry, novels, novellas, or alternative types of fiction; some of us do creative work like art or music that's different from writing altogether. Since the best way to improve your work is feedback (and let's be honest, sometimes we just want to share what we've been working so hard on), we'd like to offer you a place to get critiques on your work!
Feel free to post anything you've been working on to get feedback from other users. Maybe you've written a short story for your creative writing class, or maybe you just wrote the backstory for one of your favorite roleplay characters. Maybe you don't know how to find a good ending or you're not sure if your characterization is working. Maybe you think it's PERFECT and you want to challenge people to find something wrong with it. Make a topic, post your work, and request some help with it!
One thing to be mindful of is that not everybody wants the same level of criticism on their work. Some people would like you to SINK YOUR CLAWS IN AND RIP THE MEATY FLESH FROM THE BONES OF THEIR CHARACTERS. Other people would just like a gentle pat on the head and maybe for you to straighten their bowtie a little. On the flipside, some people prefer to give really incisive critiques, and other people don't feel up to writing an intense response. With that in mind it may help to tag the title of your topic with a requested critique level:
This is helpful but by no means mandatory! Feel free to specify the critique you'd like in your own manner if you know what you're looking for.

[L] - light critique: be friendly and gentle in your review; remember to offer positives along with the negatives
[M] - medium critique: be a little more forceful -- what are the weaknesses of the piece? what are the areas that need the most work?
[H] - heavy critique: really take a swing at it, don't be afraid to say what the problems are and what you'd like to change, and how you think the creator can really improve
