It wasn't a cliche dark and stormy night over at the Abbey. It was more grossly humid with clouds looming by like God was gonna just leave his garden hose on for hours and not give a single fuck about who gets caught in the downpour. It was also lights-out at the Abbey but the bedtime assigned was kind of too early for some Angels. Probably for all of the Angels living there. There was probably humans sneaking over as well. But it isn't sneaking when it doesn't even matter.
For sure, in the main lobby of the Angel dorms, there was a group huddled around a laptop.
Tunic was holding a sleeping Heelies as he watched Windy play something ridiculously scary. He didn't even know why he was there if he was being scared out of his mind. Goodness, humans did seem to have embraced the whole horror concept. Eyepatch sat a little farther from the group. He didn't exactly want to get involved but having a little noise while reading was nice. In general he was silently hoping that more people would start roaming about. The atmosphere was just outright creepy.

a strange figgure opened up the Abby doors drenched in the rain wearing a black trench coat and hat soaked the man stumbled and fumbled around in the dark looking for a light switch to no sucsess. "where could he be…" he said with a slit cough, forgeting the coat rack pressing on looking for whom he came for.

The sudden door opening made Tunic turn sharply. Whatever Windy was playing, it had made him extremely jumpy. Too jumpy for his own comfort. He swore he thought he woke up the kid in his arms. Who is this. Are they friendly, an enemy? Lord have mercy on him, he's just a child. Eyepatch didn't really pay too much attention with Windy being too into his game.

The man looked up and he had wandered to the room the group had been sitting in pearing up at them the man was wearing a medical maskwith bood shot eyes, with his right arm slumped to his side which in the dark looked like he was holding a blunt object. he did a slight move forward, a rough scratchy cough he then proceeded walking down the hall with a slight stumble

Tunic was already a man on the edge and he didn't hesitate to draw his weapon while at the same time dropping Heelies with a heavy thud. Whoops. But that was gonna temporary pain. What's more important is the person that just randomly came in. "W-Who goes there?"
Both Windy and Eyepatch turned and just. What the hell.

Now that was weird. For everybody. Just who in the world was that. Windy suggested it's probably just another Angel while Heelies suggested that it's probably the Grim Reaper coming in to take someone's soul. Regardless, Tunic was terrified beyond belief to even dare follow the hooded figure.

And while there were all sorts of spooky kooky stuff going on over there, there was some mildly less spooky stuff going on in the general direction known as... here.
The eldest Ravisspepto sibling Sleeves was joined by the SHSL Shop Attendant, Pack. The two were sipping on cups of Pack's complimentery pumpkin spice latte's. God bless insta-coffee and it's wondrous tastes. And while Sleeves was sitting comfortably at a table while she fiddled around with Killer Instinct on her brick of a Gameboy, Pack was just sorta.... sprawled out on top of the table, hand steadily on his coffee pot as he sipped it from a little silly straw. All this while his zipper Macaw Earbir was perched on his left shoe, fiddling around with his owner's shoe laces.
"So they just, turned into this giant... mech thing?"
"Yeah, I shit you not, man," Pack replied to the angel, sipping from his pot as he continued to tell his story of how him and Scrunchie faced off against that Chimera ghost that was composed of animatronic pizza mascots. Shit was scary, yo. Had to go through 5 nights of that shit before they eventually found a weakness.
"Scary as fuck! Scary as fuck!" The macaw spoke as it was chewing on the aglet of his owner's shoe lace, which earned a nod from Pack as he continued to sip from the pot. He needed to refill eventually. Y'think angels have heavenly coffee that has the effects of 5 hour energy yet tastes like gummi worms? Or maybe even cotton candy??? He didn't know, the boy was still tired in a way or two.

What was known as here attracted a small Heelies to these two adults sipping coffee. Ew coffee, how ADULTISH. Too grown up for his tastes but he was much more interested in the device Sleeves held. It looked like a gaming console! A rather old one per say...
"Hey miss! What's that?"

Earbir flapped around the room for a bit before landing on the comfy nest that was Sleeves's hair. The two were then interrupted by the now interested Heelies, whom seemed quite interested in knowing what strange device Sleeves had.
Turning her attention towards the lil' fella, Sleeves paused the game and set it to the side while Earbir flew down from her hair and began pecking at the device, which granted a single "Don't" on Pack's part, sipping his coffee through his monolith of a mug.
"Oh, that's a Game Boy! It's a handheld game console that came out in the 90's. Basically, if it wasn't for this baby, we wouldn't have all the other Nintendo handhelds."
"69.99 plus shipping and handling! Get yours today!!" Earbir squawked as it fumbled around with the device like a hockey puck of sorts, which caused the angel to pluck it out of the macaw's feathery grip and back into her hands.
"Wanna try it out? I'm pretty sure I have a Color in my pocket as a back up," She offered the boy nicely, turning off the device and switching the game from Killer Instinct to Metroid II. Sleeves was fine with her devices getting dingy, I mean for gods sake, if a Game Boy survived the Gulf War, she was pretty sure it could handle a bit of the Heelies touch. But lord forgive if you do anything to her Killer Instinct cartridge. Shit was not cheap.

Taking the device out of Sleeves's hands, Heelies giggled a little, "Oh! Then I know what it is! I'm not as young as people think," he stated as a-matter-of-fact. It has been a while since the last time he even held one of these old things so the controls were certainly something to get used to again. Especially with this game. But he figured it was similar to the classical Super Mario game for the SNES.
The price the bird squawked made him sputter, though, "Wait... $69.99??? When did old things get so expensive...?" That was like selling a damned soul.
He looked at the console, then at Sleeves, then back at the console... There was a shrug and he simply began playing.
In the background, Tunic was keeping a close eye on Heelies. Last thing anybody needs is for this kid to not give whatever-it-is back.

Sleeves giggled along with the young blonde as he knew about what the Game Boy was, her heart doing a little pitter patter knowing that the young un's were well knowledge of gaming's past. This earned Heelies a pap on the head as the boy played the game on the brick of a console.
"Supply and demand, young child. Supply and demand," Pack said groggily as he sipped from his pot, which earned another squawk from Earbir before flying off and nesting on top of Tunic's hair, settling it's feather birb butt on the angel's head.
"I got an N64 I can dust off and bring into the living room. It's been a while since I've played it," she offered as she took a sip of her coffee. Hard to believe October was here. Soon it'd be Winter and that meant snug clothing, cocoa and some well earned retro veg out time.

Heelies squinted at Pack. He still didn't get it. "That..doesn't answer my question." He shrugged then looked at Sleeves. "You also have one of those old things?" Gosh, what's with people and keeping old stuff.
Suddenly there was a birb nesting on Tunic's head. Well this is a nice surprise. Not really, the bird's talons were something to be reckoned with and Tunic was feeling a bit of pain. Guess he'll have to offer birb manicures to bird owners. Or would that be birb pedicures? Who knows. He lifted his hand and nudged Earbir slightly to urge it off his head. It's okay, Tunic will at least cradle the birb.

"Eh, I try," Pack said with a shrug, shifting his position on his psuedo-bed that was the kitchen table and onto his stomach, fishing out from his name sake some Swedish Fish and began chewing on the snacks, fishing out an extra pair and tossing it towards Sleeves direction because god bless working at a super market.
"Yeah! It's kind of a hobby of mine," She said to the child, passing the gummy bag towards Heelies because ech, not that much on the sweets.
Earbir gladly obliged to Tunic's sudden nudged and hopped his birby lil' booty off of his head and nestled onto the Angel's shoulder opening his mouth as Pack tossed a cracker his way to which the macaw successfully caught and ate, nestling again on Tunic's shoulder.

Tunic was a giddy boy now. Birds were so cute and feeling feathers near his face gave him a nostalgia trip of home. As he ruffled some feathers from the macaw's breast, he glanced back at the group and then.
Then. No. Oh no.
Grabbing on to Earbir, Tunic practically launched himself before Heelies could even take the bag and snatched it out of Sleeves hands. Landing on the floor next to the group and now cradling Earbir in his shoulder he smiled sheepishly. "Sorry.. He's grounded and not able to eat sweets after a little INCIDENT." An incident that involved sugary treats and hair. Heelies was certainly surprised by his guardian's reflexes and didn't even protest.
Meanwhile Eyepatch certainly was surprised but still question what the person in the robes was all about. Are they okay? It's none of his business but still.
