Daten Confidential: A Slip of the Tongue

[Gloves's Pov]

As I meet Veil for the first time, she was a nice woman to meet. Her voice was soft and sweet and heck, her hand shake was strong and vigorous. I did say to her that I would forget easily when I don't interact much with my commends or see her on missions, but I had it coming.

After she was done shaking my hand vigorously, she told me her side of the story and I wrote it down on my yellow note book. 

*Ms.Veil was tidying up at the Abbey a little bit, as it get very dusty easily. That include the bathrooms which as she stated was, "get Nasty after a while". So while she was cleaning the Guest Bathroom, she heard Luna's scream. She said that this room, as we are in the hallway right now, need some tidying up after the scene. She wasn't with no one at that time, but she did hear someone else in the bathroom at the time. Yet, she said "I think". She also said that, "It might be a tiger, actually."*

My heterochromia eye was wide open in shock to discover from what Veil said to me that we have a living tiger inside the Abbey's Bathroom. When the bloody hell did we have a tiger!? I need to speak to Strappon after this murder scene's over. Writing down quickly, I added that last part to my yellow note book to remind myself to speak to Strappon about the tiger.

When I finish writing and letting soft air out of my mouth, I listen to Veil's question when she clap her hands together and when she said, "You're so handsome!", I blush a little.

"Thank you for the complement, Veil." I said, chuckling to her while rubbing my right hand back of my silver hair. "But I can't take all the credit, I get it from my mother side. Also, to answer your question, yes, I'm single." I answer to her. "Also," I continue, "Thank you very much for answering my questions." I said, bowing to her.

Rings POV

I twiddled my thumbs, things weren't clicking too well but in all my life I have definitely solved a murder at least once in my day, and this was familiar to something I have witnessed before. The evidence here pointed to something all right, but that something was something I should keep to myself. 

All that was left really in my mind was talking to the suspects, I approached Strapon and spoke up. "I already know who the culprit is, but please, do tell me your alibi."

I did this same thing for all the other suspects, telling them the truth, that I had already figured this out and knew who did it, so really lying would only lead them into more trouble. I wanted alibi's none the less. 

Strappon's head snapped up from his deep thought and he blinked a few times as if he was caught off guard.
"I... You already know? Well, that's... Intriguing." He answered, recomposing himself and clearing his throat.

 "Well, I was off having some tea in my quarters. I was watching my usual telanovela that's on about that time, 'El Corazon Que Corre.' I was very into this awfully cliche subplot where Veronica has to choose between two men that love her, the dashing and successful Doctor Jose Corazon, or the corrupt but willing to change mob boss Victor. And then there's this third man who was once Veronica's, lover and childhood friend, who she had to give up on because he was in a coma for 7 years, but has now woken up and finally remembered his name and..." He paused for a moment, looking awfully heated and emotional, "Damn it, Juan! Why do you have to be the most attractive, but so problematic! A-ah, anyway... I was awfully invested in it, but I came running to comfort Luna when I heard her scream. Then I found this awful scene."

He took a deep breath. Calm yourself, you're a man of God. He seemed sufficient with his answer.

"The police left an awful mess of this place..." He grumbled.

"I hope that's the case..." Strappon said, addressing Vampire Collar, "Unfortunately, it seems the police already tested the lipstick and found no DNA on it. On top of that, hadn't they contaminated the scene with their saliva and... crumbs?"

He crossed his arms in discomfort. He was still distressed about how sloppy the police had been.

After a long day's investigation, the police finally authorized the scene be cleaned up and got off their asses to gather their own evidence for their official investigation.

Strappon called for a meeting in the Round Table in the meantime.

"While we let these... Wonderful officers of the law do their thing, whatever they think it is, I can see you all have gathered your own evidence." He started, as the Angels and Humans filed into the room. "We need to find the killer before they strike again. Unfortunately, seeing how it's happened in the Abbey, of all places, we can't rule anyone out..."
The Templar crossed his hands, tapping his fingers. He was clearly still in unease about the situation.

"Everyone, tell us what you've found."

[Evidence]
Everyone's gathered some kind of information, conclusive or not, useless or important. Listed below are the findings:

Body:
The face is stuck in ecstasy. The body is gaunt and bony, as if he had been sucked dry. His skin is pallid and pale, almost paper white. There are also bite marks, more human like than those of an animal but the size of the puncture wounds vary. There are minor scratches that start on the lower body, concentrated around the upper thigh areas. There is a ring of dark lipstick, smudged. The entire appendage was bruised, coloration slightly more purple than the rest of his body. The nads are also smashed in. There is also bruising on the legs. Rigor mortis still hasn't set in on the body and despite the lack of blood, there is a faint feeling of warmth. Any attempt to get DNA evidence off the victim is impossible thanks to police contamination.

Vase:
A priceless antique that once held fresh tulips. There appears to be odd scratch marks, suggesting that something's touched it. It's unknown if it was used as a method of incapacitation or if it was manhandled by the cops.

Necklace:
A necklace made of gold with darker plating. The beads are scattered haphazardly, but the main decoration is missing as the clasp was intact. This appears to have been done on purpose.

Painting:
Another priceless antique. It appears more munched on than torn, as if it has been taken off, bitten, and returned to its original place.

Gash marks:
Inhuman looking scratches, insinuating that the murderer has the ability to shapeshift.

Soul Threads:
The only piece of evidence that hasn't been contaminated. Unfortunately, DNA tests cannot be conducted as it's energy. These Soul Threads appear near colorless, having lost their luster. This means that the murderer may be weak or is energy deprived.

[Interviews]
Luna-
Had been in the infirmary before the murder took place. She had been taking inventory of her equipment. She heard the initial struggle and didn't act upon it as she froze from the sudden noise. Thinking that someone dropped something, she went around to look only to happen upon the grizzly scene a few minutes after she heard noises.

Strappon-
Was watching one of his favorite telenovelas. He didn't hear the initial struggle, only happened upon the scene after hearing Luna scream. He seems clearly antsy about the irresponsibility of the police. It's clear that he has knowledge on Soul Threads, being able to identify that the murderer's threads were devoid of energy. He also states that no Angel is capable of shapeshifting, but does say that there are Demons with such ability.

Dermal-
Claims to have been in the Rec Room getting a White Russian. Appears more annoyed about the death than anything else.

Veil-
Was off cleaning a guest bathroom at the time of the murder. Claims to have heard activity in the bathroom as well, but thinks it may have been the resident tiger. She only knew of the murder after hearing Luna's screaming.

[Conclusion]

Based on the evidence above, investigators must come to a conclusion. It's time to present your case!
When presenting, describe how you believe the scene went and whatever your conclusion is you need to use at least 3 pieces of evidence to support your case. At this point, you're welcome to accuse someone.

Once all cases are presented, the investigators will discuss their conclusions and accusations and decide who's they decide holds the most merit.

Rings POV

"Although I agree that whatever the absolute fuck Raincoat said was partially wrong, I think Veil is quite suspicious... mostly for the fact that she was unable to identify what was in the bathroom with her, surely she would have noticed if it was a tiger, what was it doing? hiding in the fuckin' stalls? I don't think so, so either she assumed wrong and is an idiot, or shes holding back information, that seems obvious to me." I put my hands behind my back. "Point is she either lied about something being in there with her, she's an idiot, or shes the killer, simple as that... some of those things intertwine." 

I adjust my jacket a little. 

"However, she's not the only one whos suspicious, of course, Leon Leonheart is also quite suspicious, Strapon said it himself, whoever did this should be quite tired, after all it seems like the killer went mad, tearing paintings up, scratching vaises, doi9ng all that unessasary shit, so either this was some rough ass sex play or somebody lost their cool. My theory is he's involved somehow, but not the killer."

Next, I should move on to Luna.

"As for Luna, I highly doubt anybody reasonable living in this space would simply ignore a fight breaking out in the hallway, and if she had assumed it was some other kind of mess, I still doubt she would have simply continued to take inventory... if she was taking inventory at the time of death, she should be able to tell us when the victim died, and provide those inventory reports... assuming she has them on paper no?"

and finally Strapon. 

"Strapons words were intentional, he wants us to assume a demon did this yes? That's the logical answer? Which only tells me its not the truth, somebody in this room is the killer, none of them are demons, and we all know them well enough I'd say to say without a doubt that they aren't... if they are as they say I'm sure strapon can supply us with holy water or something similar, and we simply have to pour it onto their bare hand, easy."

"The killer is unclear, but everybody here who was around for the murder is probably involved somehow... none of them have alibis either."

Sitting backwards I smile... thats my theory.
