As your character approaches a cave that has been recently discovered in Daten, they see an open area. The sign that was once in the middle is gone, and now there seem to be a set of eerily pallid figures who all look in their direction as your character approaches. They don't seem malicious, though. In fact, they look like they want your business.
Weapon Upgrades + Abilities
Abilities/Upgrades to add to the attack of your weapon! These are non-magic static abilities. They do not need to be activated unless otherwise stated!
Bladed Weapons: →Weapon Sharpening: 30 Rep Points For swords/bladed weapons. Adds +2 to all attack roll. (May be bought once for every Rank.) →Heated Blade: 30 Rep Points Force energy into the blade of your weapon, heating it up. Adds +3 to attack roll. Can be debuffed by water element. →Sword Get Longer: 20 Rep Points Force energy into the blade to make it longer. +2 to initiative.
Projectile Weapons: →Ammo Upgrade: 30 Rep Points For projectile weapons (guns/arrows). Adds +2 to all attack rolls. (May be bought once for every Rank.) →R for Reload: 30 Rep Points Ability that grants the user one (1) additional 1-20 die for initiative. Can be used 2 times per battle. →Dynamite Dynamic: 30 Rep Points Your ammo is now explosives. Add +5 to attack. →Scattershot: 20 Rep Points Grants user the ability to shoot multiple times, but the attack is 3d8 instead of 2d10. Dice are also dispersed among targets.
Misc. Weapons: →Weapon Reinforcement: 30 Rep Points For all other misc. Weapons. Adds +2 to all attack rolls. (May be bought once for every Rank.)
All-Weapon Upgrades: →Gunblade Upgrade: 60 Rep Points Adds a blade to a projectile weapon/projectile attachment to blades/other types of weapons.

Armor/Body/Mind UpgradesReinforce your mind and body to take less damage in battle. Note that some buffs can be nullified by ghost abilities.→Trained Body: 50 Rep Points Your character has been trained to resist pain! They now take -2 in damage.→Abs of Steel: 50 Rep Points Requires purchase of Trained Body + Rank II. They now take -5 Damage instead of -2.→Elemental Resistance: 20 Rep Points each. Adds resistance to your choice of element. -2 to rolls containing the element of choice. May be purchased for multiple elements. Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Arcane (Human-only), Holy (Human-only)→Forcefield: 30 Rep Points Grants the ability to create a force-field around yourself and your allies. Can only cast if your initiative is 10+, lasts for 1d5 turns. Grants everyone around the Impervious ability. Forcefield is not impervious to Light Magic or can be broken by an attack with a 20 Initiative on the caster. If people leave the barrier, they are no longer Impervious.→Henshin a Go-Go, Baby!: 200 Rep Points HUMAN ONLY. Give a human the ability to Henshin! This grants them both a set of Henshin Clothes and a stone that can be put in an item of their choice. To access the ability, they are absolutely required to yell "Henshin!" and pose.Henshin Abilities + Upgrades:Henshin is important to Angels and Demons, as it allows them to access abilities that are helpful in battle, making it easier to destroy ghosts and fight their eternal rivals. There is more information on how to Henshin and how it's used {here} Henshin Abilities should be listed in the character's inventory thread. You are limited to 2 per Henshin, and they cannot change. Purchasable Ugrades (Listed below!) are limited to 2 per Henshin in addition to the free abilities. →Additional Henshin: 100 Rep Points Buy an additional set of Henshin Clothes. They must look different from the initial set and be identified differently, as they can have different Status Additions.→Elemental Resistance: 20 Rep Points each. Add 2d10 to Arcane/Miracle Spells→Healer: 20 Rep Points each. Adds boost to Healing Magic while in Henshin. Adds 1d20 to any healing magic cast at allies! Boost is not added if caster has less than 6 HF left.→Henshin Overdrive!: 200 Rep Points Available to Rank II+ Characters that have Soul Threads present. Adds the Henshin Overdrive ability, which can be accessed while in Henshin. For more information on Overdrive, please read the "Henshin in Battle" forum post!
Character Abilities These special abilities grant characters natural buffs. Each character is able to posses a total of 3 abilities and they can be switched out. Choose wisely for a well rounded character or create a specialized powerhouse.
Ability Points: Each character has a certain amount of Ability Points (or AP), determined by their rank, which allows them to choose what skills they have equipped at one time. Maximum is 3 even if all your AP isn't maxed out.
Rank I: 15 AP Rank II: 30 AP Rank III: 45 AP Rank S: 60 AP
Currently Equipped Abilities are listed under the "Current Abilities" tab in your character's Inventory. At the beginning of an RP, if you wish to switch out your character's abilities, please state so in the first roll post of the battle. You cannot change them mid-battle.
Rank A: 5 AP 50 Rep Points Ironclad- Natural armor, characters with this ability reduce damage taken by 25%. Sacred Flames- Pyromancers gain +10 damage once they're reduced to 25% health. Northern Winds- Grants character +10 on their initiative rolls once they're down to 20 HP Frenzy- Character enters the Berzerk state once they're down to 20 HP. Eightfold- Grants +8 on initiative and damage (even on status buffs that deplete health over time). This ability activates when the TN hits 8 only. Snapback- If your character misses a turn, their next turn gets double attack.
Rank B: 10 AP 70 Rep Points Valkyrie- An ability specifically for healers/Cherubs. Valkyrie activates when the character reaches lower than 50% health. It grants up to 7 extra points to initiative rolls and negates any status effects from Arcane magic. Charmingly Vampiric- A Concubi (or those of Concubi descent) ability only. Concubi can regain (1/4 ATK) health from any successful attack. Jikufurito- Characters with bladed (includes scythes, etc) weapons have +5 points added to their initiative rolls and +5 points added to their damage rolls. Golden Wisdom- This ability encases magic users within a crystalline projection, granting them a +4 Roll Range buff on their magic and -5 against any magic attack. Good Vibes- Casting cure on an ally will heal the caster the same amount. Body of Thorn- When your character is hit, the aggressor takes half the damage back. This ability can only be used at 50% HP.
Rank S: 15 AP 100 Rep Points Fujinkyu- Characters with bows get an additional +10 to their initiative roll once their health drops lower than 50%. It also prevents and nullifies status effects from being inflicted onto them. Deadeye- Characters with ammo based weapons gain +10 points for both initiative and damage. This ability activates when the character is around 25% health. Seamster/Seamstress- Characters with dense Soul Threads gain +5 points on damage rolls or their damage doubles when it hits a ghost. They slowly regenerate around 5 points of health per round of dice rolls. This ability activates when they hit 25% health and it's effects stop once the character is back up to 60% health. Magical Being- Able to remain in Henshin for longer! Instead of losing 2 HF per turn, you lose 1 HF per turn. Positive Influence- The aura of your character is so overwhelmingly positive that it gives all allies -5 to all damage to them and +50 to HP. This ability deactivates when the influencer is at 50% HP. Aura of Darkness- Your character's aura is filled with a darkness so deep it strikes fear in the hearts of your enemies. Opposing forces -25% to all attack rolls on allies. This ability deactivates at 50% HP.

Build Limitations and Rules Like all good things, there is a limit to how much fun you can have. Yes, this means we have to nurf your characters. Sorry, Mercy.
>You may only have one ability that adds to [initiative] at a time. As much as we love the idea of never rolling a 1 on an important roll, having too many additions to your initiative can result in constantly overpowering your enemy. This is not balanced! This extends to weapon additions, body and mind enhancements, etc. This doesn't effect Henshin abilities, if it is your choice. It also doesn't effect Speed Boost.
If we come across any more, we'll update this post!

Gloves declares his purchase to what seems like a strange magical box. The box glows and he can feel invigorated with power! He gains the ability to Henshin Overdrive and he feels he can last much longer in his Heaven form. He is now a Magical Being if he chooses to be so.
His pockets also feel much lighter.

Ribbon approaches the odd-looking smithy, having decided to try this place out herself. She placed her whip, Stripper, on the anvil.

As Ribbon places her whip on the anvil, Joro crawls from a hole, yawning. Seeing the demon, she offers her a smile and skitters up to the anvil, taking the whip and examining it. "Hmm... A pretty weapon for a pretty lady." She says, "Whips aren't hard to reinforce, that can be done quickly." She pulls some fabric and leather out from a few of the worktable's draws and works her magic. She seems to spin it with glowing threads. Not long later, she turns to Ribbon and hands her the new, reinforced whip! With a wink, of course. "Come back again some time." She chuckles.

Helmet stood tall in front of the three figures. "Greetings to you and your cow! I wish to obtain these abilities and upgrades!" Helmet said in his usual crusader fashion, handing them a list of what he wants. It reads as follows:
"- Henshin a Go-Go, Baby! - Trained Body - Abs of Steel - Weapon Reinforcement - Elemental Resistance (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Arcane) - Ironclad"

"Ah, to be donned in iron, a well chosen pursuit. A way to become something greater than one's own self. Protection, defense, ease of continuation at your fingertips. The Ironclad skill is something good, my friend, especially clad in metal as your head seems to be. But ah, how rude of me to jabber on. Please, take care to not lose your way. Even iron can be melted in the heat of battle. Don't be too cocky and all should be well." Hakama says, flicking some sort of talisman in Helmet's direction.
"Nyaha! So you'd like to be one of those Angel-types, yes? Well, well! What a bold human!" Konkon yips, "A trained body and abs of steel are surely a great addition to a man wearing a head of steel."
They swished their tails around as the searched their box for more things.
"Hmmmmm~! Elemental resistance is also a great idea. Doesn't stop you from getting caught in landslides, or getting caught on fire! But it makes it much, much less painful. Arcane spells a very mystically terrible. Good choice. All elements are painful in their own way." They finished their sentence and a couple orbs were pelted at Helmet. Some of them entered his skin, and a very shiny orb floated in front of him.
"I'm sure you'll make a fantastic Henshin-user. Just make sure you yell the magic words! Hen-SHIN!" They yipped.
Joro watches Helmet get the rest of his improvements, and as he approaches her with his weapon and places it on her table, she gives him the expression of the most tired woman in existence. "Sir, this is a stick." She states, "You take me for a fool." As he stares at her, walleyed and confident, she picks the stick up and reinforces it with her thread before tossing it at his head. "Get out of my face."

"Good day," Monocle said, bowing formally at Joro as he and Polo approached. Monocle summoned his axe and Polo summoned his gladuis and placed it on the smith's anvil, "We would like our weapons' blades sharpened, please"
Then they approached Konkon, Polo said enthusiastically "Heya! Me and Mono here would like 'Trained Body' and 'Abs of steel, also Monocle would like Elemental Resistance for Fire and Water"
Then finally they approached the final figure, Hakama. Monocle bowed once more and said, "We both would like like to purchase 'Jikufurito'"

"Hm. Shoddy weapons at best. At least you came to me to improve such mediocre work." Joro said with a snort. She worked her thread into the blades to reinforce them before sharpening them on her iron. Her work seemed awfully passionate. "At least they're not that dumb neon blue." She laughs as she tosses them back to the two Angels, "Have fun splitting heads."
Kon Kon watched the two approach them with what seemed like a blank, mildly amused look on their face before laughing. "Oh, it seems Joro really put your prides through the ringer." They laughed, floating toward the two in a sort of skip. They poked Monocle on the head, "It's going to take a lot more than 'Abs of Steel' to make you look like a man, shortstack! Hohoho!" They did a spin and the two were hit with a few floating orbs. Monocle would feel a burning sensation, then a cool feeling wash over him. "At least you can't feel the burn anymore, right shorty~? Hoho!" "With skill and tact, you must use your blade. To have precision such as this, your path will be made." Hakama hummed as he rummaged through his bag of tricks, "Jikufurito is a testament to these. Of course, one could always simply practice, but a talisman is quite useful." He dropped the talismans in their hands and pushed them slightly toward the door. "Now get out, Joro looks hungry."

"Hey fuckers. I need some shit." Ruka announced as he approached the three figures. "You!" He pointed at Joro. "I want all the upgrades you can give my blades! Make em longer, stronger, and heat up and shit." Ruka then pointed to Kon Kon. "You! I want that fancy elemental resistance for fire, earth, water, and wind for both my body and henshin! And you!" He pointed lastly at Hakama. "I want body of thorns! Now hurry up! I got shit to do!"

Clearly not pleased by the way Ruka had asked, Joro made some kind of chittering hiss. "Were it not for the laws of this land, I would have slain you." She grumbled, taking his weapons. Her eyes glowed with clear malice, but she disappeared into her spider hole with his weapons. There was a lot of slamming, some sizzling, the sound of blade sharpening, and some angry muttering from the Yokai. She tossed the blades out of the hole and they stuck into the ground in front of Ruka, still sort of hot. "THERE." She yelled, "Sharpened, Heated, Longer. You can also shoot things with it. The total is 140 Rep. Now fuck yourself with them." This was, in effect, also all said in Japanese.
Kon Kon seemed to have been giggling the entire interaction with Joro. Their tails swishing as they began to look through the box. They tossed a few things around before finally finding the orbs and tossing them to Ruka. "Yes, yes. All the elements for one man. You must fear natural disasters." They chortled, "Go on now, have fun setting yourself on fire to prove a point. Just gimme the 160 Rep. "Send the pain back from whence it came, surely the price to pay for those who tarnish your name." Hakama said, tossing the medallion at Ruka, "What a bargain. Only 70 Rep to harm your foes, but be wary that it only works when at half your heartiness. That's just how it goes." Were his rhymes lame? Probably. But they did the job.

As Gloves stood middle in the cave, he was thinking carefully of what to buy from here. At first of coming here, he was thinking that he'll meet the magical box again and ask for more thing to help on his mission, but now as he came to the cave, he was surprise to see people working here within the cave. Even though he'll miss the Magic box that gave Him Henshin Overdrive and Magical Being, but having newer things and meeting new people is a nice way to start.
When he was done thinking, he first walk over to Kon Kon. "Hello, there." Gloves said, smiling to them while waving his right hand. "I would like to buy your Elemental Mage for my henshin, please. It'll really help with my pyro magic."
Then he walk over to Hakama and gave him a smile and a wave as well. "Hello good sir. I would like to buy your Positive Influence, please. It sounds really interesting and having a positive influence will help brighten a person day, especially if they're feeling blue." He said and gave him a right thumbs up.
Then lastly, he walks over to Joro and gave her a smile and wave for the final time. "Hello, Madam." He said as he summon his holy namesakes into Virtue Gauntlets (Blaze), took them off and gently place them on the anvil. "I would like my Gauntlets to be Reinforce please." He said to her. "I know that it's not a Blade or a Projectile that you're used too, but I've been using them for the past four years on different missions and it would be so appreciated if you reinforce 'Blaze' with your magic fingers. Also," He continue, while rubbing the back of his gray hair with his right hand. "Sorry if that's a weird name I gave him, but that's his name since it can use fire magic." He chuckles.
